There are so many people that are rabid in their open anger (sometimes hatred), hostility, disrespect for, or whatever, of President Obama, that frankly, I've been surprised. I mean, I remember the Tea Party folks starting up in April of 2009, scarcely 4 months into his first term. GW Bush didn't even show up for his first year for the most part until Sept 11, and Cheney was having secret energy commissions and the whole bit and nobody seemed to mind at all. I didn't like that, but I didn't lose respect for Bush until his Axis of Evil lunacy.
If you're one of those people that just hate Obama or just seeing him makes you angry, I'm genuinely curious as to what your reasons are. Why do you hate him? What, specifically, has he done to make you so angry or disappointed? And, if you think of it, perhaps you could mention where you get your news and information each day as well (and be honest).
Because I'll be honest, when I hear the arguments against him, and when I hear his responses, such as this past week when he met w/Republicans in Baltimore, his answers make sense to me. They seem well thought out. Maybe I'm an idiot - it's very possible. And I know he's a politician. But I'm just not seeing anything to be so angry about. So please let me know why you're so angry.

I am a small gov't guy, so massive gov't spending (esp. deficit) gets me angry. My libertarian leanings seem to be at complete odds with the pres.. He ramps up wars, deficits and gov't intrusion while leaving the same middle class he pretends to support (don't they all) out in the cold. This is no different than the Bush years.Remember Prescription drug coverage( w/ Kennedy by the way)? Ever more spending on education which doesn't work, wars and more wars. Losing ground to the Chinese and owing them more than we can ever repay. Gitmo is still open, even his stance on gays in the military is half ass. (it's either OK or it's not, just tell me what you really think, damnit!) He has very litle to do with his "signature bills". Claims to be fighting the ins. industry, then backs a bill to force everyone into coverage with them. (that'll teach 'em!). He is completely let off the hook regarding his school records, and drug use. (very strange, he's soooo smart)They have been sealed, no other president has done this, even his much maligned predecessor.(who flew a fighter jet by the way). As a fellow smoker, I can empathize with his inability to quit, but damnit, if he was a conservative, he'd be hammered relentlessly for it. He totally kisses ass to the unions (payback for donations is , of course commonplace). He's against charter schools, sends his girls to a private school. He has never ran anything. Not a county, state, business, boy scout troop. Somehow he's supposed to be up for the task of righting the course of this country. Why did folks believe that!? Well, people wanted to believe it. He uses a f***ing teleprompter to speak to a 6th grade classroom? Dear God, just sit down and chat with them. I know that the problems facing the nation are great and extremely complex at times. The last president was a bust, and Pres. Obama is not responsible for all the problems in one year. I really don't think he understands that the majority of Americans have an inate distaste for more and more gov't. (all of which went into hibernation when the economy was humming). He seems like a great husband and father (the reason I don't say I "hate him"), he may even think he's doing what's best. I just disagree with his solutions, esp. after the horrible legislative process. There should be no federal law over 100 pages. And finally, and perhaps most personally, is he seems to have the typical liberal disdain for guys like me. Self employed (yes, even pick up driving!) non union, gun owning guys who just want to be left alone as much as possible. Minimal fed gov't, minimal taxes, maximum liberty for all of us. White, brown, gay, straight or all of the above. Done ranting.
